Capstone Life Insurance ("Capstone," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent, licensed life insurance agency that helps individuals and families compare and apply for final expense and life insurance coverage.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, quote request forms, phone calls, and text messages, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and legal rights you have. It applies to capstonelifeinsurance.com and to the communications we send you. Please read it before submitting any information to us. Our Terms of Service also apply to your use of this website.

    Text Messaging and Mobile Information

SMS consent is not shared with third parties.

No mobile information will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent and text messaging opt in data are not shared with any third parties or affiliates, except for subcontractors and service providers acting on our behalf strictly to deliver the messaging service itself, such as our messaging platform and telecommunications providers. All other categories of personal information are handled as described elsewhere in this policy.

How consent is obtained. You provide express written consent by entering your mobile number and submitting a quote request or contact form on this website, where the consent language and a link to this Privacy Policy appear directly on the form, or by giving your number to a licensed Capstone agent during a call and agreeing to receive texts. We do not obtain phone numbers or messaging consent from purchased lists or third party lead sellers.

Types of messages. Messages may include replies to your quote request, appointment scheduling and reminders, application status updates, and conversational follow up from a licensed agent about your inquiry. We do not send messages containing content related to loans, cannabis, firearms, tobacco, or other restricted categories.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and your ongoing conversation with our agents.

Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

HELP and STOP. Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at 972-805-4720 or office@capstonelifeinsurance.com. Reply STOP at any time to cancel. After you send STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and will not send you further marketing or informational texts.

    What Personal Information We Collect

This section describes what personal information is collected.

Information you provide. When you complete our quote request or contact form, speak with an agent, or request a resource, we collect the personal information you give us, which includes:

    • First and last name
    • Email address
    • Mobile or home phone number
    • State of residence
    • Age or date of birth
    • Intended beneficiary
    • Best time to reach you, and any other details you choose to share about your coverage needs

If you decide to apply for coverage, the carrier's application may also collect health, tobacco use, financial, and banking information.

Sensitive information. Health and medical history information is treated as sensitive personal data. We collect it only when you voluntarily provide it in connection with an application or eligibility question, and only with your affirmative consent. We do not collect biometric data or precise geolocation data, and we do not process sensitive data for advertising.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we may automatically collect technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, time zone, referring page, and the pages you view, through cookies and similar technologies. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand in aggregate how visitors use it.

Quote form progress. As you fill out our quote form, the answers you enter may be saved before you press Submit so we can understand where our form is confusing and improve it. Unsubmitted information is kept only on our own systems, is never shared or sold, and is never used to call, text, or email you unless you submit the form and agree to be contacted.

Sources. We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device when you visit our site, and, where you have responded to one of our advertisements, from the advertising platform that delivered your response to us.

    How We Use Your Information

This section describes how personal information is used. We use the personal information we collect only for the following purposes:

    • To contact you about your quote request and discuss coverage options by phone, text message, and email.
    • To match you with life insurance products and licensed carriers that fit your situation.
    • To prepare, submit, and follow up on an application if you choose to apply.
    • To respond to your questions and provide ongoing service on any policy we help place.
    • To schedule and complete calls with a licensed insurance agent.
    • To keep our website secure, prevent fraud, and improve how the site works.
    • To maintain records of consent and communications and to comply with legal, regulatory, and insurance recordkeeping obligations.

We do not use your information for any purpose that is unrelated to your inquiry and materially different from what is described here without telling you first. We do not use automated profiling to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Who We Share Your Personal Information With

This section describes who personal information is shared with.

We share your personal information only with the following categories of recipients:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months.

Insurance carriers. If you choose to apply for coverage, the information required to process your application is submitted to the insurance carrier or carriers you select, with your knowledge. Those carriers handle your information under their own privacy notices.

Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services for us, such as website and form hosting, customer relationship management, email delivery, telephone and text messaging platforms, electronic signature, and analytics. They may use your information only to perform those services for us and are contractually required to protect it.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required or permitted by law, such as to respond to a subpoena, court order, regulatory examination, or lawful government request, to enforce our agreements, to investigate suspected fraud, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of you, us, or others.

Business transfers. If Capstone is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

    Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Notice

As an insurance producer, we are required by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and applicable state insurance privacy regulations to provide notice of how we treat your nonpublic personal financial and health information.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the applications and forms you complete, from your transactions with us and with insurance carriers, and from consumer or medical reporting agencies used in underwriting. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone except as permitted or required by law, or as necessary to place, service, and administer the coverage you request. We restrict access to that information to those who need it to provide products and services to you, and we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect it.

    Cookies and Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site and limited analytics cookies to measure aggregate traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function properly if you do. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you.

Opt out preference signals. We recognize and honor browser and device level universal opt out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid request to opt out of the sale of personal data and targeted advertising where applicable law provides that right.

    Data Security and Retention

We store the information you provide in a controlled environment protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and we maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transmission and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet or a wireless network can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We keep your information only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, service any coverage we help you place, document consent, and satisfy legal, regulatory, and insurance recordkeeping requirements, which for insurance records is generally a minimum of five years. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below, and we will do so except where we are required to retain it.

    • Ask us to confirm whether we are processing your personal data.

Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access it, to correct inaccuracies, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data, sensitive personal data, or biometric data, and we do not engage in targeted advertising or such profiling. We honor Global Privacy Control signals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or writing to the contact address below, and we will respond within sixty days. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients; to request correction or deletion; to opt out of sale or sharing; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information, and we use sensitive personal information only to provide the services you request. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of consumers under sixteen.

Other states. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have substantially similar rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt out, together with a right to appeal a denied request where their state law provides one. We extend these rights to all customers.

To exercise any right, email office@capstonelifeinsurance.com or call 972-805-4720. We will verify your identity using the information we already hold and respond within forty five days, with one extension where permitted. You may use an authorized agent where state law allows. There is no charge for exercising your rights, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Do Not Call and Do Not Text

We maintain an internal do not call and do not text list and honor the National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state registries. If you ask to be placed on our internal list, by phone, text, email, or during a call with an agent, we will honor that request promptly and in no case later than ten business days, and we will keep it on file indefinitely. You may revoke consent to calls or texts by any reasonable means, and a revocation of consent for texts applies to marketing calls as well.

    Email Communications

Every commercial email we send identifies who it is from, includes our valid physical postal address, and contains a working unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests within ten business days and do not sell or transfer email addresses of people who have unsubscribed.

    Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
